Enhanced Service Program:
The Enhanced Service Program is an every other month service that protects you from many of the pests that are common to the Northwest. The program is based on Eden's knowledge of the pests' biology and seasonal pest trends and is designed to offer the most efficient, long-term control while using low-risk methods and materials.
At each service your local technician conducts a thorough inspection to identify conducive conditions and prevent future infestations. As necessary, your technician applies treatment to remote locations based on seasonal timing. This approach reduces the use of unnecessary pesticide usage. Eden selects products with the least toxicity to ensure the least amount of exposure to chemicals.
If your pest issues continue after your regular service we will return to address the affected areas at no additional cost (as long as you are an Eden customer).
The following pests are included in the enhanced service program contract:
- Ants
- Earwigs
- Spiders
- Mice
- Rats
- Wasps
- Yellow Jackets
(*program does not include wood destroying insects)
Eden's Enhanced Service Program (ESP) protects our clients and communities from pests year round. This program consists of every other month services that are each customized to the seasonal pest trends of the Pacific Northwest. Using our integrated approach, not only is the ESP effective in controlling pests but it also helps prevent and reduce pest populations, reduces the use of unnecessary pesticide usage, and makes your home a healthier more efficient environment! Here's how it works:
December/January: ESP Customers will receive a service in December or January when Rodents are always active and spider egg sacks begin to yellow and are more easily found. In this service dormant oil is used to reduce the number of honeydew producing soft bodied insects during their dormant overwintering stage. This service keeps your plants protected and healthier in the spring and prevents ants and wasps in the spring and summer months.
February/March: During your February or March our ESP focuses on inspecting and treating the Dripline area of your home. The dripline area is where many pests – like rodents, spiders, birds, millipedes, and earwigs - overwinter in the soil along the foundation and are beginning to emerge. We also sweep away spider webbing and spider sacs that are visible on the exterior surfaces. This treatment reduces spider populations and prevents pests from emerging in warmer temperatures.
April/May: ESP customers can expect an inspection and treatment around the Barrier (10 ft perimeter from foundation) of their home. Now that temperatures are warming up pests like ants, rodents, spiders, wasps, ladybugs, box elder bugs, flies, and stink bugs are becoming more visible. As activity increases, our attention focuses on pests further out from your structure to stop them before they enter. These emerging insects can be extremely bothersome, and prove the value in our fall preventive applications.
June/July: During these summer months our ESP moves our protection perimeter even further out to what we call Lines of Approach - checking walkways, landscape areas, fences, electrical lines entering the structure etc. to find new infestations that are moving closer to the structure as they enter your property. Your technician will be inspecting for signs of rodents, ants, spiders, ground beetle, rove beetles, and other occasional invaders.
August/September: As summer starts to transition into fall our ESP starts to move it's protection and prevention closer to the home again with the inspection and treatment around the Barrier (10 ft perimeter from foundation) of your home, looking for ants, spiders, millipedes, rodents, many other occasional invaders, and the overwintering insect activity that begins in September. This area becomes more attractive to pests as water sources are fewer and natural foods are in shorter supply as the season comes to a close.
October/November: During these fall months ESP focuses on inspecting and treating the Dripline area of your home for ants, millipedes, spiders, rodents, overwintering insects. This is the time when the pests are trying to get to the most favorable overwintering sites increasing pressure close in to the structure.
*Eden's Promise to ESP customers: If you have pest issues that continue in between/after your services just let us know, we will return to address your concerns at no additional cost!
