Noxious Weed Control
What are Noxious Weeds?
Keep weeds in check before they spread and become harder to control! Eden offers services for common weeds around your home or business, as well as noxious weeds in larger environments. Noxious weeds are defined as typically foreign and potentially dangerous to our native environment. In Washington and Oregon there are 145 and 78 different varieties of Noxious weeds respectively. These invasive plants affect all persons in Washington and Oregon either directly or indirectly through impacts on agricultural and forest economies and on other resources such as fish, wildlife, recreation and overall watershed health.
Can Eden control most weeds and vegetation?
At Eden we use Integrated Vegetation Management programs that combine habitat modification and mechanical controls with limited application as needed. The elements of control we use are based on the plant, the location and season. Typically, vegetation is considered desirable or undesirable. Desirable vegetation refers to the well maintained and cultivated turf, shrubs, and ornamental trees that you may see adorning a lawn. Whereas, undesirable vegetation refers to unwanted plant growth and weeds that can, with their unruly nature, quickly envelope an area. The experts at Eden can control any type of undesirable vegetation. Although Eden will customize any plan to meet your specific needs we also offer three basic programs designed to control vegetation problems, including:
-
Bare ground programs – total vegetation control
-
Bare ground programs that require total vegetation control adjacent to desirable vegetation or water
-
Selective broad leaf brush and weed control that controls undesirable vegetation while still allowing grasses to remain and prevent erosion

Eden Donates Services to Banish Bed Bugs from Elderly Couple’s Home
A Seattle-area couple who could not afford pest control services to eliminatetheir raging bed bug infestation found relief when the specialists at Eden Advanced Pest Technologies stepped in.
The frail, elderly couple’s bed, sofa, carpeting and other furniture were teeming with bed bugs. Unfortunately, the homeowners didn’t have the means to keep up with their pest control needs. Eden technician Michele Cruzat’s heart broke when she learned about the Seattle bed bug infestation, which was the worst case she’d seen in the last couple of years.
After thoroughly evaluating the situation, our pest control experts made the call to provide top-notch bed bug treatment for free in order to eliminate the infestation.
"This is somebody's grandparents – could be my grandparents, could be your grandparents. And it's not right they're having to live in a situation likethis," said Eden branch manager Rob Breznen.
We at Eden wish the best for this couple and hope they continue to live bed bug free.

Our commercial clients have found our on site staff training to be just one of the valuable feature of our Bed Bug Response Plan. Recently we received great appreciation and feedback from our rep at Pacific University of Oregon where we provided classroom training as well as on site training that showed first responders on site how to ID bed bugs in dorm rooms and other common areas and what their first steps in the plan should be.
Eden's bed bug training for our staff was so helpful for our team! The reps that delivered the training were all very knowledgeable and engaging – even a little entertaining! The program was well put together and I feel our staff and students retained the knowledge they needed to move forward in our Bed Bug Response plan successfully! Thank you to our Eden reps for such a great program! Cindy Schuppert | Assistant Director of Facilities and Safety Management @ Pacific University
