Quality Pest Control for Food Processing Facilities

You have heard of HACCP...your industry's management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and, handling; to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

Food Processing Facilities require a pest control company that can accommodate the strict standards set by the AIB and FDA. Eden Advanced Pest Technologies is able to meet those needs through our own systematic and strategic system of IPM, or Integrated Pest Management, designed specifically for your facility. Our customized IPM programs and services synchronize with your facilities' protocols and requirements. Eden also integrates a variety of tools and features, including Electronic Bar-code Monitoring, Online Data Reporting, Routine Quality Audits, and inspections to ensure the highest level of quality and effective service.

We work with you! We have 3 ACE Certified Entomologists on staff and our well-trained team will communicate, educate, and work with you and your onsite staff to develop the most effective protocol.

Integrated Pest Management

IPM is the most comprehensive and effective method of pest control. Eden provides IPM services that are unique to your industry and your facilities, managing and preventing pest situations at all stages. Instead of solely relying on material application for control, Eden's IPM approach focuses on four key levels of control:

  1. Keeping pests from entering the facility (Physical Exclusion and Access Denial).
  2. Making the location unattractive to pests (Habitat and Harborage Modification).
  3. Utilizing traps and deterring mechanisms (Physical and Mechanical Controls).
  4. Limited or Focused Material Application, only when necessary and in conjunction with the first 3 levels.

When material applications are necessary, Eden uses low-risk products and focuses treatments to the source of the problem, eliminating unnecessary pesticide usage.

Eden's IPM programs are results driven and thoroughly documented to track success, including:

  • Results Analysis Reporting
  • Communication Log Books on site
  • Online Graphs and Bar-coding reports

LEED Certification

Eden's sustainable pest solutions can help your building(s) become LEED Certified. Indoor Environmental Quality is one of the categories that LEED measures. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that Americans spend about 90% of their day indoors, where the air quality can be significantly worse than outdoors. The Indoor Environmental Quality credit category promotes strategies that can improve indoor air. By working with a pest control company that has a truly Green program, like Eden's Natural Choice Program, you will earn LEED points. Just make sure to tell your Eden Consultant that your company is trying to earn LEED Certification so they know to design your services accordingly.

Barcode Monitoring System

Through proper data collection, Eden can pinpoint the source of the problem and implement the most efficient protocol to provide a solution, therefore saving you time and money while eliminating unnecessary or overuse of pesticides.

Eden Donates Services to Banish Bed Bugs from Elderly Couple’s Home

A Seattle-area couple who could not afford pest control services to eliminatetheir raging bed bug infestation found relief when the specialists at Eden Advanced Pest Technologies stepped in.

The frail, elderly couple’s bed, sofa, carpeting and other furniture were teeming with bed bugs. Unfortunately, the homeowners didn’t have the means to keep up with their pest control needs. Eden technician Michele Cruzat’s heart broke when she learned about the Seattle bed bug infestation, which was the worst case she’d seen in the last couple of years.

After thoroughly evaluating the situation, our pest control experts made the call to provide top-notch bed bug treatment for free in order to eliminate the infestation.

"This is somebody's grandparents – could be my grandparents, could be your grandparents. And it's not right they're having to live in a situation likethis," said Eden branch manager Rob Breznen.

We at Eden wish the best for this couple and hope they continue to live bed bug free.

Our commercial clients have found our on site staff training to be just one of the valuable feature of our Bed Bug Response Plan. Recently we received great appreciation and feedback from our rep at Pacific University of Oregon where we provided classroom training as well as on site training that showed first responders on site how to ID bed bugs in dorm rooms and other common areas and what their first steps in the plan should be.

Eden's bed bug training for our staff was so helpful for our team! The reps that delivered the training were all very knowledgeable and engaging – even a little entertaining! The program was well put together and I feel our staff and students retained the knowledge they needed to move forward in our Bed Bug Response plan successfully! Thank you to our Eden reps for such a great program! Cindy Schuppert | Assistant Director of Facilities and Safety Management @ Pacific University
