Bed Bugs Make TIME’s List of Top 10 Evil Animals

Anyone who has ever had to deal with a bed bug infestation knows bed bugs are evil. They plague our dreams, suck our blood and multiply at the alarming rate of 10,000 babies every three months. They’re so evil that TIME.com gave them the number-one spot on its list of “Top 10 Evil Animals” – over rats, tapeworms, locusts and even humans.

What makes bed bugs so awful? That depends on whom you ask. Ask your local pest control company, for example, and we’ll tell you it’s because the little buggers are so hard to kill. They’re clever at hiding, resistant to pesticides and can live for months without feeding.
